Auntie with her boys...
Here we are, Roman, Jadon and Auntie! This was taken in Kras before we left for Moscow. Aren't they the most handsome little guys ever? Dave and I are enjoying every minute with them. What a blessing it has been to be able to spend their first days as "Goeppner's" with them!
Last night Dave and I stopped at Mosmart (Moscow-style Walmart) and picked up two umbrella strollers. This morning we ventured out to Red Square, boys in tow. They had a blast! They had never been in strollers before so this was a real adventure for them. We walked the 25 minute stroll, stopping at TGI Fridays for lunch. Jadon slept for a good part of the first leg and while we were eating. He woke up just in time to eat a little himself before we finished the last leg of our trek.
It was FREEZING cold today! The crowds were a bit heavy, as you can see by the picture below, but nothing compared to the metro and buses during our regular rush hour ride back to our hotel! We had a great time and got some fun family photos of Chris, Penny & the boys in front of St. Basils. We even came across another American couple from D.C. who was kind enough to take a picture with all of us in it...our ONLY one from this trip!
On the way back, instead of walking, we took the metro. You should have seen Roman! He was so excited! We missed our stop so had to get off and hop on to another to back track. When we got off Roman said, in Russian, "we're going to go again?" It was so cute!
All in all it was great for the boys to get out and have a change of scenery...the hotel room is getting old. One more day and we're headed home...a day early in case you haven't already heard! We all very excited to get home and see all of our family and friends, we've missed you all terribly!
I'll be sure to give a synopsis of our entire trip when we return!
