Recommended Reads

I've completely slacked off on reviewing any of the books I've recently read...shame on me! But there are two that I just had to back up a bit on on and share them with my "peeps". On my sidebar I've added their titles and would encourage you to check them out.

The first one is on the aspect of parenting teens that often times is a struggle for many parents, I'd go as far as to say mom's in particular, which is the whole area of control. It challenged me greatly and I would highly recommend, "Losing Control & Liking It," by Tim Sanford to any parent out there who is in the beginning stages of adolescence with their child/children. It will save you a lot of unnecessary battles in the long run. Reading it before the conflicts arise will have you well-equipped and confident as you forge ahead into the later teenage years with your children.

The second book is Andy Stanley's "The Best Question Ever, A Revolutionary Approach to Decision Making." I don't know about you, but I just love Andy's teaching style and his writing style is very similar. It's an easy read, yet could have a profound effect on anyone's future. I'm passing this one along to my oldest son for a summer read. It's a book I wish I had read as a young adult.

Any thoughts on either book, I'd love to hear them!
