Help Me!!

How does one go about organizing a 9-year-old boys bedroom?? I know I've done this before, I'm sure of it....somewhere in my distant memories there's a vague recollection. Maybe that's why I'm resistant. It IS as bad as I think it will be. I just don't know if I have the gumption to see this through. I'd prefer some lighter fluid and a book of matches...better yet, a blow torch!

When you figure out how to get Benjamin's room clean let me know. Regan has the same problem. Shannon & her share a room and it drives Shannon nuts.

Scary stuff, huh? Let me know what you find when you move the bed! Why aren't they as repulsed by their mess as we are?!
Good Luck...... pretend you're on one of those makeover shows!

It's all in the perspective...I've seen that particular 9 year-old boy's room & in my opinion it's not half bad! Is the tent still in the corner?

You've inspired me.... I found some good sites on organizing kids rooms and I am going to schedule that in for the kids and I to do. It will most likely involve some purchases, though! Not a surprise to Thom! He's in charge of income and I'm in charge of out-flow! My job is to get the most bang for our buck! You should blog on budgeting...how you decorate on a budget!! You're a whiz at that!

you'll need to start at ground zero. better yet... create a "ground zero." go in there with a couple of hand grenades. then clean up with a bull-dozer. and then i recommend decorating and furnishing with stainless steel - like a jail cell.

jail cell.....hmmmm....sounds enticing! that might work well on through the adolescent years and beyond...i think i could actually market that one...what do you think, Jody?

Do jail cells have a drain in the middle of the floor so you can just hose it down? If so, we have a winner!!
